It is our intention to adhere to this schedule as closely as possibly. However, in the event of an emergency or inclement weather, this schedule is subject to change.
The Department of Public Works, which is responsible for leaf collection, would like to remind you of the following:
*Leaves must be placed in piles on your property near the street.
*DO NOT PUT LEAVES IN BAGS. If leaves are placed in bags, it will be the responsibility of the property owner to have them removed.
*In order to prevent flooding, LEAVES MUST NOT BE RAKED INTO THE GUTTER OR STREET.
*NO PICK UPS WILL BE MADE IN ALLEYS. Please place the piles of leaves near the street without blocking the gutter.
*Do not include brush, limbs or debris in with the leaves. Piles containing anything other than leaves will not be picked up by the town and will be the responsibility of the property owner to have removed.
*Please have all leaves raked to the street PRIOR to the beginning of the scheduled pick up. If leaves are not placed along the street for collection prior to the scheduled date for pick up, it will be the responsibility of the property owner to have them removed.
The above dates are the only times that leaves will be collected on your street. The Town appreciates your cooperation with these guidelines.
Please check the Southwest Times for changes to the above schedule. Should we encounter snow fall prior to completion of leaf collection, those leaves cannot be immediately collected and we will attempt, (but cannot guarantee) to extend the schedule, as it will be weather permitting.
