Code Enforcement Officer – Police Officer

The Pulaski Police Department is seeking a currently DCJS certified police officer for the position of Code Enforcement Officer. This individual will be responsible for the enforcement of laws and ordinances pursuant to the Town, State and Federal Governments, with the primary responsibility of enforcing town codes including environmental related and zoning ordinances, as well as providing assistance to the public. Officers are subjected to hazardous and life threatening situations and must be able to work as a team member and maintain a good relationship with fellow employees. Candidates for this position must meet all of the qualifying requirements or specifications for the position of police officer with this agency. The Code Enforcement Officer normally performs work under the regular guidance of the Deputy Town Manager and is supervised by the Operations Lieutenant.
Qualifications include graduation from high school, must be twenty-one years of and possess a valid Virginia’s driver’s license with a good driving record. Candidates must successfully complete the agency’s field training program. A complete job description and disqualifiers for this position are available at the Deputy Town Manager’s Office. Starting Salary: $35,000 – $36,750
