TRIP AND EVENT REGISTRATIONS
Trip and event registrations will begin on Monday, May 1, at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise indicated. Payment must be made at the time of registration. If a minimum number of participants are not met for any event, the tour or activity will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued if a fee was charged. You may register only one person in addition to yourself. No staff at the Senior Center can take your money ahead of schedule and register you for a trip. No refunds will be given for any trip or activity if the program requires a non-refundable charge (i.e., tickets, food, supplies, etc.) A refund will only be issued if someone takes your spot. If you must cancel your reservation on a trip please call the Senior Center at least 24 hours in advance when possible. Please do not tell someone else they can take your place because we may already have people on a waiting list.

 

PHASE 10
Phase 10 will be played every Tuesday in May, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

GAME DAY
We will have Game Day on Wednesday, May 4, at 11:00. We will play Jeopardy, Bingo, and many more. Come on down and try to win some prizes. We will serve light refreshments. This is a free activity. Please come by or call and register. Registrations will start on Monday, May 1.

 

CINCO DE MAYO
We will celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Thursday, May 5, at Compadres here in Pulaski. We will meet there at 11:00 a.m. Lunch is on your own. Please call to let us know that you will be meeting us.

 

ADULT COLORING
Come and enjoy adult coloring. This activity has been proven to have a calming effect. It is said to lower blood pressure. So we are going to color on Friday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. This is a free activity. Please call and register for this event. Registration will start on Monday, May 1.

 

STRAWBERRY PICKING TRIP
On Monday, May 9, we will go pick strawberries in Dobson, North Carolina.
We will leave the Senior Center at 9:00 a.m. We will stop on the way back and have lunch. The fee for this trip is $4.00 per person. As you are aware we are at the mercy of the weather where strawberry picking is concerned; therefore, we may have to cancel or reschedule if the weather is bad or if the strawberries are not ready to pick. Registrations for this trip will begin on Monday, May 1. Deadline to register is Friday, May 6, at noon.

 

GROCERY DAY
Grocery shopping was a big hit last month; therefore, we are going to go again this month and take advantage of some of the grocery sales offered at Kroger in Fairlawn. So on Tuesday, May 10 we will leave the Senior Center at 9:00 a.m. and go to Kroger. You will have about an hour to shop on their Senior Citizens discount day and then we will be back at the Senior Center by 11:00 a.m. This will be a free trip. Registrations will start on Monday, May 1. Deadline to register is Monday, May 9.

 

BREAKFAST BUNCH
We will have breakfast bunch this month instead of lunch bunch. We will meet for breakfast at The Dawg House in Pulaski on Wednesday, May 11 at 8L30 a.m. Please let us know that you will be meeting us, and as always lunch is on your own. Registrations will begin on Monday, May 1.

 

SCRABBLE DAY
Scrabble Day is scheduled for every Thursday in May, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come on down and enjoy the fun.

 

NATIONAL APPLE PIE DAY
National Apple Pie Day is Friday, May 13, so we are going to celebrate by having apple pie and ice cream at 1:00 p.m. here at the Senior Center. Registrations will begin on Monday, May 1. Deadline to register is Wednesday, May 11. This is a free event.

 

MYSTERY TRIP
On Monday, May 16 we will be going on a mystery trip. We have had such a good time before we thought so we would try it again. The cost of the trip is $3.00. We will be leaving the Senior Center at 9:30 a.m. All I will tell you about the trip is that you may want to bring a little money along just in case. Registrations for this trip will begin on Monday, May 1. Deadline to register is Wednesday, May 11.

 

MOOSE LODGE TRIP
THIS EVENT IS NOW SMOKE FREE.
We will be going to the Pulaski Moose Lodge, on Wednesday, May 18. We will play bingo from 11:00 a.m. to noon, and lunch will follow. There is no fee for this activity. We will provide transportation to the lodge for $1.00 per person, or you can drive yourself. If you are riding with us we will leave the Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. Registration is a MUST so that enough food can be ordered. Registrations will begin on Monday, May 1. Deadline to register is by Thursday, May 12. WE CAN NOT TAKE registrations after this date, unless there is a cancellation.

 

MOVIE DAY
We will have Movie Day on Friday, May 20, at 10:00 a.m., at the Senior Center. The movie this month is “Brooklyn” The movie is about an Irish immigrant lands in 1950s Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a romance with a local. When her past catches up with her, however, she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within. We will have refreshments like popcorn and other snacks. The cost of this event is $1.00 per person. Registrations will begin on Monday, May 1. Deadline to register is Monday, May 16.

 

BINGO DAY
Bingo Day is Monday, May 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Senior Center. This is a free activity!

 

DINE ROUND
For Dine Round this month we will be going to Country Kitchen in Christiansburg on Wednesday, May 25. We will leave the Senior Center at 11:00 a.m. The fee for this trip is $3.00 per person. Registrations for this trip will begin on Monday, May 1.

 

SENIOR CENTER CLOSED
We will be closed on Monday, May 27 and May 30 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
